Enemy Designs

Luckily, from what I've done so far, the enemy designs should be a lot easier to conjure up. I'm going for the same sort of style as Frank, but with a more grotesque essence about them to fit the Hellish theme of the game. I've decided to go with the idea of having pretty much every enemy be some form of animal, as having demons and humans would seem pretty generic to me, and would be a lot more difficult to create a constantly fresh style for them.

My first design is a Zombunny, which would act as the game's first enemy. Pretty easy to kill, slow-moving and not too smart:

BRAAAAAINS etc.
Next up, we have  Nutty. Faster than the Zombunny, he can leap into the air at high speeds and use his teeth and claws to puncture skin like paper:

Gruesome, isn't it folks?

Here, we have a seemingly harmless Craw. Then it reveals it's acid-filled mouth filled with razor-sharp teeth. They may fly pretty slowly, but they're deadly in groups:

If there's water nearby, then watch out. The Brainees use their scaly skin to disguise themselves as lifeless-looking buds. If they feel something nearby, they'll unleash the monstrosity within them, the Braineye. If you're spotted by the ever-watching eye, destroy it fast before the screen is engulfed in a dark vignette, which reduces your vision to only the area directly around you.

Last, but not least, we have Butch Baboon. Like a Bulldog, he rampages through anything that gets in his way to get to his target, then stands on it's two back legs and uses all of it's upper-body strength to pummel it's victim to their death. Their weakness is their thoughtless brutality:

Don't mess with Butch.
